This weekend I got the opportunity to take photographs of what will hopefully be the transitional stage of work on one of downtown Jackson’s landmarks, the King Edward Hotel. I added all of the images to the end of my “Jackson Series” album.

As some of you may know, Jerri and I just returned from Portland yesterday. All the images from the trip are in a new album.
I created a black and white conversion action for photoshop cs2, but it still requires you to make some adjustments on your own. The same basic principle applies as when you use the channel mixer for color images. The tutorial for the conversion without the action is below.

I assume I am a lot like everyone else in my dread of Mondays, but today happened to be a particularly decent Monday. First off, I didn’t go into work, which alone would have made it a good day. Second, I actually managed to run many of the errands I intended to, and I finally got my grass cut (accomplishing everything on my list for the day). And finally, as an added bonus, I happened to get some pretty good shots of democratic presidential candidate, John Edwards, when he stopped in Canton, Mississippi this afternoon.
