Belhaven Market

A few pictures of some vendors and one portrait of a customer who was kind enough to let me take their picture.

Family

* WPG2 CANNOT LOCATE GALLERY2 ITEM ID 2544 *Her husband was a union organizer. She told me about hiding in the back seat of their car as her husband drove out of town and Pinkertons, or some other union busters, shattered their back window with gunfire.

Paris Photo - Erwin Olaf

France has lately had a hard time of it, so hard in fact that it is currently cheaper to fly to Paris than across the US. This last fact is to me a massive temptation. If only there were less responsibilities, and Paris Photo had not already ended yesterday. So instead I bide my time looking through the online catalog, constantly opening the links to galleries in new tabs, and slowly working back through the galleries in turn being impressed by the lists of amazing photographers they represent and awed by the work of artist with which I am not familiar.

Jackson Series

Sell a few pieces and suddenly I’m obsessed. I just can’t get this jackson thing out of my head. I keep finding more signs to take pictures of and listening to more people tell me about their favorite painted wall. Anyway, there is more stuff in the jackson folder.

Wet Plate Collodion

I have recently been thinking about making glass plate negatives with a pinhole camera, and to that end I have began to research the process. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find one source with complete information, and since I thought it would be nice to have resources for the materials paired with the method, here is my how-to/resources for wet plate collodion negatives. Natchez Trace plus more Jackson

I added some more images to the Jackson Series, and I uploaded a new folder with some pictures I took on the trace.

Birthday Season

Well the season is upon us. Jayrah’s birthday was yesterday, halloween. We hung out with Mr. and Mrs. Super Pickle, Gorjus, and some new friends. We also did a little celebrating this past weekend, with entertainment provided by the non-costumed over 20 trick or treaters, and an uber-intoxicated D-train. In honor of Jayrah getting older than me I have a birthday themed picture.

Also, in honor of the fact that I have posted nothing about our ward, Fred, (she kindly pointed this out to me), here is a portrait of her.
